Island Football Notes covers Gozo and Maltese football through club histories, competition explainers, dated statistics and sourced match files. It is an independent publication, not the official website of Xagħra United, the Gozo FA or the Malta FA. It does not represent the former operators of this domain or claim continuity with an earlier club website.

How the stories are prepared

Research, drafting and editing use AI tools. The articles are source-based accounts and original explanations, not reports of personal attendance. Each story links to its evidence. Calculations from scores or tables are identified; unavailable possession, chance and expected-goals figures are not invented.

Historical trophy totals carry a date or a source cutoff. A dated table notebook is a fixed snapshot, not a live standings service. The date of a match is kept separate from a report published later. League goals, cup goals and play-off results are not silently combined.

The opening illustration is an imagined island-football scene created with AI. It is not a photograph of a named stadium or evidence of a real match. Club badges and historical site contacts have not been reused.
